《国际商事合同通则》（“PICC”）是由国际统一私法协会（UNIDROIT）自1994年起编纂的国际“软法”规则，目前最新版为2016年版。该通则旨在为不同法律体系之间的国际合同提供一套统一、灵活且中立的法律准则，被誉为“国际合同法的统一语言”。

The UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts (“PICC”), developed by the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) since 1994, are a set of international “soft law”rules. The latest version was published in 2016. PICC aims to provide a uniform, flexible, and neutral legal norm for international contracts across different legal systems, and are widely regarded as the “uniform language of international contract law.”

Eckart Brödermann 教授是德国汉堡大学兼职教授、Brödermann Jahn 律师事务所创始合伙人，是全球国际合同法与仲裁实务的重要人物之一；他不仅是纽约与德国双资格律师，还长期担任 ICC、CIETAC 等仲裁机构仲裁员。他自1990年代起即深刻参与PICC的研究与推广，是最早将该通则带入实践领域的学者之一。他著作等身，其中，他的专著UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts – An Article-by-Article Commentary (2nd Edition) （“Brödermann Commentary ”）被誉为国际合同法领域的实用宝典，受到全球仲裁员、律师与法官广泛引用。第一版由德国 Nomos和荷兰 Wolters Kluwer于2018年同步出版，第二版于2023年在相同两地由相同出版社联合发行。

Professor Eckart Brödermann, a part-time professor at the University of Hamburg and founding partner of the law firm Brödermann Jahn, is one of the world’s leading figures in international contract law and arbitration. He holds dual qualifications as a lawyer in both New York and Germany and has long served as an arbitrator for institutions such as the ICC and CIETAC. Since the 1990s, he has been deeply engaged in the study and promotion of the PICC and was one of the first scholars to bring the Principles into practical application. He has an extensive body of scholarly work, intera lia, his treatise, UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts – An Article-by-Article Commentary (2nd Edition)(“Brödermann Commentary”), is acclaimed as a practical handbook in the field of international contract law and is frequently cited by arbitrators, lawyers, and judges worldwide. The first edition was jointly published in 2018 by Nomos (Germany) and Wolters Kluwer (Netherlands), and the second edition was jointly published in 2023 by the same publishers in the same two countries..

Brödermann Commentary（第二版）中文版翻译项目由 Eckart Brödermann 教授指导，汇集数家中国律师事务所，组建了一支跨律所、深度融合实务与学术力量的高水平协作团队。

The Chinese translation project of the Brödermann Commentary (2nd Edition) is led by Professor Eckart Brödermann and brings together multiple Chinese law firms to form a high-level collaborative team that deeply integrates both legal practice and academic expertise.

金春卿律师负责Brödermann Commentary（第二版）第五章及第六章第二节的中文翻译与审校工作，与金律师一起从事该项工作的还有毛金奇律师、律师助理沈秋和实习生陈丽颖，褚芳妒。

Attorney Winston Jin is responsible for translating and reviewing Chapter 5 and Section 2 of Chapter 6 of the Brödermann Commentary (2nd Edition) into Chinese. Attorney Rafael Mao, Paralegal Shen Qiu, and interns Chen Liying and Fendy Chu also worked on this project alongside Attorney Winston Jin.
